Environmental “Science”

One of the many things that the liberals are trying to pin on Sarah Palin is that she is reckless with the environment.  It is true that Gov. Palin has fought many battles, some with the Bush Administration, over the need to protect certain species, such as salmon and polar bears.  Its easy for me to say that humans are more important than animals, so protecting animals to the detriment of humans is not a valid argument, but that is not my point here.

My point is aimed at the legions of liberals who accept only certain scientist’s opinions while ridiculing conservatives for doing the same thing.  Check out this quote about Gov. Palin from John Toppenberg, director of the Alasaka Wildlife Alliance:

[she is] in the Stone Age of wildlife management and is very opposed to utilizing accepted science.

North Carolina Rep. Brad Miller says this of Palin:

She is disturbingly part of the pattern of the Bush administration in their approach to science generally and the science of the environment in particular.

So, even though scientists often disagree on environmental issues, the ones that the liberals believe and “accept” are all of one opinion… man is destroying the earth.  Those other scientists are obviously wrong in their well-studied conclusions.  Why?  Because the liberals say so.  Just like when “The One” speaks, its all truth.

I like Palin’s response to California Rep. George Miller who is upset because Alaska is thinning out wolves to maintain a healthly wildlife balance:

[Miller] doesn’t understand rural Alaska, doesn’t comprehend wildlife management in the North, and doesn’t appreciate the Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution that gives states the right to manage their own affairs.

I really like her…
